How beautiful the sound of rain
Pitter patter on the pane,
Giving life to nature once again.
Touching your world and mine,
Enriching our weary souls. Sometimes.

Sometimes when I am alone,
I watch the sunset glide,
Across the distant sky,
Brimming with fire,
Dancing, Prancing,
Giving home to what’s come and gone,
Fading into dusk, and dancing into dawn,

Always and not just Sometimes.

It is then I think of you,
With memories so tender and true,
For with the simple thoughts of dawn,
brand new day is born,
and as the old clock in my parlor chimes,

I am reminded of  life, and the wonder of it all…..

Sometimes…..

- how simple things makes way to more profound thoughts.

Life has ways of lending support even in a shaking of a hand or a hug by a stranger. There are many times that we think that we are all alone in this ” big vacume” of endless space, drifting, drifting, drifting…….. into where? how? when ? why…….?

So many questions, and yet we try to gain wisdom from our own physical experience. That which we have gone through this one lifetime. Many a time we ask where God is. Or why he has deserted us.

During these moments remember to look around and you will see that God is there in the smile of a stranger. In the hand of your friend that reached out to you . In the many ways he sends us his love. Most of the time it is through an instrument of faith.

I remember the time I left my home and family and came to this country . I was alone and somewhat lost. During this time not only did God introduce me to a family that was as kind and as good as my own but he surrounded me with friends that helped me financially, emotionally and spiritually. He was right there. and I am grateful. Sometimes our eye’s are closed with our own sadness and we cannot see the radiant light of God streaming through the tendrils of life.

Look around you see , feel and experience your miracles. This message is for all of those friends who have shared their love with me unconditionally and it is to all of you who have helped me grow into who I am today. Counseling some of you and shearing with you the wisdom of my angels have been a blessing for me. and for those who have shared your friendship, time, and thoughts; I am grateful.

Friends are Gods instruments that help us daily. Be a friend to day to someone , somewhere, and God will dwell within you. Be a temple of light be radiant, be beautiful, be true and just be YOU.

The Strength of a Nation….
Lies in the Character of it’s People

Let us rise as great people . Not of the flesh. But of the mind, and of the
spirit. For the flesh will pass but the soul lives on……

Today a kind man, a good man, a gentleman is accepted by the world. He
walked among the commoner and had the desire to do something good, something
better. He did. He became president. I remember over 2 years ago I
prophesied that he would be elected. It was funny, since at the time I was
not into politics, and I had no clue how to pronounce his name. I just told
my friends. “ the man with a big ears” It will be he. They all turned and
laughed at me!!!!

Today I am proud to write of him, for he brings to mind the values that this
country values that we seem to have abandoned. We have deserted the rights
of humanity. We have become an intrusive Nation, lost in it’s own mighty
military machine, lost in it’s own arrogance, and ignorance.

We were not the first country that was affected by terrorism ! The land I
was born in ( Sri-Lanka ) is riddled with such negative men. Bombs go off
almost everyday. However it is important to remember that war does not equal
peace. And Peace does not equal war.

I support him to day because of his demeanor. It is because of his conduct.
It is because of his faith and belief. It is Not because he is a black man.
In fact I do not even think of that. But the simple fact that during his
entire campaign, he conducted himself with dignity, there were many times he
could have laughed at the governing body, but he chose not to do so. He
chose his words wisely. He is a gentleman. He will restore the courage of
the people and the hope of the nation.

People! Let us support our leader. Let us not quibble about party politics
as the country lies in shambles. It is not the time to criticize, it is time
to become one nation. One people. One hope. One dream,

I pray for the new president, that God will grant him the support and the
wisdom. To take each day with new wisdom, kindness and courage

Help him to rise as a man of good character, a man whose dreams will be felt
and shared by his people. Let us all embrace truth, and Love for above all
things the greatest of these is LOVE.

AN ODE TO OBAMA

I saw you once so long ago, a single little man,
You stood on a little foot stool with a paper in your hand.
A little crowed did gather around your slender feet
and smile at your words of hope that you started then to speak.

You did not ride in a carriage or did not have a fancy car,
But spoke words of wisdom, kindness, love and hope with power
You did not act , below us, or beneath us, or above,
But stood beside the people, and spoke to them in love.

You did not speak with anger or run the next man down,
But spoke just of your vision, to raise this nation from the ground.
There were many filled with envy, and did cast their evil nets
But the Lord did bring you safely from the burning lion’s breast.

Let the Lord grant you the wisdom to take this nation far,
And teach us each his children, to speak of peace and not of war
Let us all again be humble, and thank you for your gift
Of HOPE you gave this nation, so that we again might live

And as you take to morrow
And with courage as you stand
I ask the Lord of miracles
To simply hold your hand. amen

To Live Love and Learn

Through the eyes of a looking glass.

To the lonely hearts that dwell in silence.

This is especially for those who were alone on the holiday. You may be alone because you desired to be, you were a lone because someone in your life had hurt you and you needed the space to think and to cry. Or you were alone because your special person was not there to share this moment with you….. what ever the reason your smile had left your face: for a brief moment and there was deep contemplation.
That was a good thing. How ever there are a few things that come to mind when we look at grief or sorrow. Grief is generally a reflective emotion. It is caused by a feeling of loss, followed by pain. It can leave us feeling and looking like little rag dolls, hiding away in our little closets.
Remember my friend, if you have been left behind by another or hurt by another it is normal to experience this. However always turn and look at yourself in the looking glass. How do you look this morning? How do you feel? Do your eyes hold pools of tears? Has your face lost its cheery smile?

It is important to remember that the power to love and to be love does not come from the outside but from within you. Recognizing pain is important, however re-living it over and over is not the right thing to do. You then take away your power to be loved and adored.

Remember the person on the out side will see what you reflect. Ask your self this question……. If you were out there would you reach out to you and love you? Or would you run a mile ……!

People attract others when they have joy in their soul. And it comes primarily from a place of peace and well being. It attracts and draws the light.
If you were to be with some one this moment, how would you like that person to be?

It is easier to connect with those who have peace and joy within them. Turmoil pushes energies away. It keeps people apart. That what you are trying not to create, is created.

Beauty attracts beauty, and life evolves. Let us all reach that higher place. Let us all find our joy. Let us all become stronger and wiser today. To be beautiful for you, that is important. Do not loose that. Remember to look in the looking glass and see if your lover would love to be with you. Create a reflection you would love to live with, and he or she will come to your life sooner than you think.

Embrace the Morn and be a new you. Be beautiful. Be at peace.
